The Caregiver plays an integral role in the success of our team, our community, and creating a place our residents are proud to call home. The primary purpose of this position is to provide residents with routine daily care services in a caring and respectful manner, strictly in accordance with their individual assessment and service plans.

Working Environment
This role involves potential and/or direct exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious diseases, air contaminants, and hazardous chemicals. The position requires the ability to work in ambient room temperatures and lighting while maintaining a safe environment for residents by observing infection control practices and reporting unsafe situations immediately.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleAssist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- check_circleCommunicate resident condition changes and incident reports to supervisors immediately
- check_circleEncourage residents to socialize and assist with scheduled activities and outings
- check_circleObserve resident emotional conditions and report changes to the nursing staff
- check_circleCheck residents per service schedule to ensure personal care needs are met
- check_circleAssist in the performance of fire and other safety drills to ensure resident safety
- check_circleRespond promptly to resident alerts and provide requested care assistance
- check_circlePromote a safe environment by following infection control practices and reporting hazards
- check_circleMove and transfer residents into and out of bed, chairs, and wheelchairs using proper safety techniques
Requirements
- verifiedMust meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position
- verifiedPrefer 6 months or more of experience in a home care, assisted living, or long-term care facility
- verifiedKnowledge/proficiency of facility EHR
