About the Role
MOTEL 6 in North Portland is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Front Desk Associate to serve as the face of our hotel. This role is essential for ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for every guest, from their arrival to their departure.
In this position, you will manage the front desk operations, handling check-ins and check-outs with professionalism and courtesy. You will serve as the primary point of contact for guest inquiries regarding hotel services and charges, while also managing the hotel switchboard, taking calls, and making reservations. A key part of your day involves maintaining accurate accounting of all rooms, balancing cash at the end of each shift, and generating reports to ensure seamless handovers for the next team.
Work Environment & Schedule
This is a fast-paced environment where the ability to work under pressure is vital. The role requires flexibility to adapt to the needs of our guests and the hotel's operations. You must be available to work rotating shifts, including 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, and 11pm-7am. Additionally, you must be open to working any day of the week, including holidays.
Application & Requirements
Candidates must be sales-minded, highly responsible, and reliable. While previous hotel knowledge is preferred, we are committed to training the right person. You must be computer literate with the ability to operate front desk equipment and possess dependable transportation to and from work. A background check is required for all successful candidates.
