About the Role
As a Fourth Grade Teacher at USD 259, you will teach and facilitate learning for students in grades K-5, ensuring academic progress, discipline, and accurate record-keeping. This role is designed to work collaboratively with parents and students to implement classroom education that meets the unique needs of every learner.
You will serve as a key contact for personnel within the district, as well as for customers and vendors. Success in this position requires the ability to interact with a diverse population, handling all situations with tact and diplomacy. You are expected to maintain a positive attitude and provide quick, responsive customer service to all internal and external stakeholders in a friendly, professional manner.
Work Environment & Expectations
To ensure schools operate effectively, employees are expected to perform all assigned duties and work all scheduled hours during each designated workday. Any deviation from assigned hours requires prior approval from your supervisor or building administrator. Additionally, all employees are required to report to work dressed in a manner that reflects a positive image of USD 259 and is appropriate for their position.
You will work under the direct supervision of the department supervisor to complete day-to-day tasks. The role involves maintaining a classroom that is conducive to learning, safe, and stimulating, while also being prepared to respond rapidly in emergency situations within the school building environment.
