Elwood Staffing is seeking Forklift Material Handlers for a manufacturing facility in Pittsburg, TX. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering full-time work across multiple shifts, including days, mid, and overnight. The role is critical for maintaining operational efficiency in a food manufacturing environment, where associates are responsible for inspecting, packing, and preparing food products for shipment.
In this position, you will operate a sit-down forklift to stack packed items on pallets while ensuring all packaging is properly labeled and sealed. The role requires performing quality checks on weight, seal integrity, and appearance, as well as assisting with line changeovers and maintaining a clean, organized work area. Due to the nature of the facility, strict hygiene standards apply: no jewelry, false lashes, fingernail polish, or fake nails are permitted. Safety gear, including hair nets, bump caps, safety glasses, and ear plugs, is provided and must be worn at all times. The facility is non-climate controlled, and the role involves lifting up to 50 lbs repetitively and standing for the duration of 12-hour shifts.
