Six Mile, LLC (SML) is an Alaska Native-Owned Village Corporation serving over 2,000 Native shareholders across four villages along the Yukon River. Established in 1978 through the merger of the villages of Galena, Koyukuk, Nulato, and Kaltag, SML operates as a for-profit entity rooted in the Koyukon Athabascan tradition of "Gana-A'Yoo" (friends together).

As a Floor Tech, you will be the backbone of our facility maintenance operations, performing essential heavy cleaning duties to ensure a safe and pristine environment. This role is designed for individuals who take pride in their work and understand the physical demands of maintaining commercial and residential spaces.
Your day will involve a variety of tasks, from stripping and waxing floors to shampooing rugs and maintaining linoleum. You will utilize specialized equipment, such as backpack vacuums and floor buffing machines, to clean building floors, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors. Beyond the core cleaning duties, you will service restrooms, dust furniture and equipment, and manage waste removal. The role also includes routine maintenance activities, such as notifying management of repair needs and clearing snow or debris from sidewalks when necessary.
