About the Team
The Operations Control Center (OCC) at Kalitta Air serves as the nerve center for our flight operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of cargo across the globe. Based in Anchorage, Alaska, our team manages the complex logistics of the ANC station, acting as the critical link between flight crews, ground personnel, vendors, and customers. Our mission is to maintain on-time operations and deliver a quality product to our final customers through swift problem-solving and clear communication.
About the Role
As a Flight Operations Support Specialist, you will directly support the Flight Operations Manager in orchestrating daily operations at the Anchorage station. This role is vital for facilitating clear and concise communication among all relevant stakeholders, ensuring that flight and ground personnel receive the support they need to operate safely and efficiently.
In this high-tempo environment, you will handle high-volume work demands while coordinating essential services such as catering and supply distribution for flight and ground crews. Your day will involve resolving issues with flight crews and operations departments, ensuring all updates are timely and accurate. Success in this position requires a heightened sense of situational awareness to navigate aircraft operational areas, including ramps, flight lines, and hangars, while maintaining a customer service mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
Hiring Process
Candidates selected for an interview will be required to obtain and maintain SIDA (Security Identification Display Area) credentials, which include an unrestricted U.S. Customs background clearance. A valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle in high-traffic aircraft operations areas are mandatory prerequisites for the role.
