Key Responsibilities
- check_circleConduct basic material takeoffs and identify material gaps, alternates, and technical solutions
- check_circleAssist in preparing quotations, coordinating vendor pricing, and documenting competitive alternatives
- check_circlePrepare customer-facing documentation including project status updates, delivery schedules, and technical submittal packages
- check_circleManage detailed project documentation including schedules, order logs, meeting notes, submittal tracking, RFIs, and change coordination
- check_circleMonitor project workflow for delays, discrepancies, or risks and recommend corrective action to Project Managers
- check_circleCoordinate with Project Coordinators, purchasing, logistics, and vendors to ensure alignment on material needs and timelines
- check_circleAssist with vendor quoting, order accuracy review, order entry, and material expediting when appropriate
- check_circleProvide technical support to internal teams regarding product selection, specification alignment, and substitution options
- check_circleProactively identify customer concerns, schedule issues, or material risks and escalate them appropriately
- check_circleSupport portions of project budget tracking or margin verification as directed by Project Managers or Account Managers
- check_circleParticipate in customer and vendor meetings and lead small portions of discussions related to documentation or schedules
- check_circleReview and validate bills of material, drawings, and specifications for accuracy prior to handoff
Requirements
- verifiedMinimum of a business or trade degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- verified2+ years of prior customer service, quotation, or sales experience
- verifiedProficiency in quoting software preferred
- verifiedStrong working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office, and SAP software preferred
- verifiedAbility to read, write and speak in English
- verifiedCriminal background check required
Nice to Have
Business or trade degree. Strong knowledge of electrical products and utility systems. Comprehensive knowledge of product lines and applications, alternate product substitutes, and supplier pricing policies. Proficiency in quoting software. Strong working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), internet, email, and SAP software. Prior electrical distribution experience. Ability to read specifications and drawings.
