About the Role
FAR Inspections is actively seeking a reliable independent contractor to perform residential mortgage inspections in Kodiak Island County, Alaska, and surrounding communities. This role is designed for individuals living in or near Kodiak who wish to earn supplemental or full-time income on a flexible schedule they control.
As a Field Inspector, you will perform residential occupancy verifications. These are brief, exterior visits intended to confirm property status and report on general conditions. The workflow is designed for efficiency, with standard inspections typically requiring only 5–6 minutes on-site. You will manage your own routing, schedule, and territory, maintaining a high level of reliability regarding coverage and deadlines.
The Territory This position covers a spacious rural county, which involves spending extended periods of time driving and making numerous stops throughout the day. Longer drives between stops are common, making a fuel-efficient vehicle and comfort with country roads especially valuable. The territory averages approximately 5 inspections per month, offering stable, month-to-month volume.
