As the Fire Alarm and Suppression Technician, you will perform routine and complex maintenance and repairs on various fire alarm systems and suppression equipment. Your primary purpose is to inspect, service, maintain, and repair these critical life safety systems. You will identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments or repairs, ensuring all work adheres to relevant codes. Additionally, you will develop and implement procedures to identify and prevent defective services from recurring.
This role requires a high level of knowledge and application of the National Fire Alarm Code and pertinent UFC codes. You must be thoroughly capable of reading, interpreting, and applying system design plans, as well as building construction drawings and documents. Success in this position demands the ability and willingness to work independently and as a team member on all aspects of fire sprinkler systems, including maintenance, testing, repairs, and troubleshooting.
