About the Role
Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) seeks a Finance Director to lead Finance, Accounting & Administration for one of the nation's largest school districts. Based in Raleigh, NC, this role oversees budgeting, financial reporting, grants, cash management, and compliance to support more than 150,000 students.
The Finance Director will guide a collaborative team, partner with instructional and operational leaders, and ensure resources are aligned with district priorities of equity, academic excellence, and community partnership. This position champions data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement in a diverse, student-centered environment. You will serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership and the Board, preparing clear financial presentations that inform critical decisions for stakeholders and the public.
