About the Role

The Field Technician I is a critical member of our team, dedicated to conducting field and laboratory testing of soils and concrete. This role ensures compliance with AET's QA/QC procedures and industry standards, including ASTM, ASIC, and ACI. You will be responsible for performing a variety of tests while maintaining a high level of quality and safety, ensuring accurate and reliable results that meet regulatory requirements and client expectations.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a strong commitment to safety. You will contribute to AET's mission of delivering trusted, high-quality engineering and testing services by performing field density tests, observing excavations, conducting laboratory calibrations, and reporting results. This position requires a blend of office, laboratory, and field work, often in outdoor conditions on construction sites with uneven ground and varying weather.

Nice to Have

2-year vocational or college degree. Communication skills sufficient to work effectively with clients and coworkers. Ability to interact successfully with a wide variety of people, work effectively within project teams, resolve issues and problems in a constructive manner, and work independently in the field. Capability to perform physical labor including work at hazardous waste sites and with personal protective equipment.
