The Field Service Representative (FSR) serves as the primary contact for Varian Medical Systems (VMS) customer service and repair needs, ensuring that critical medical equipment operates efficiently at all times. This field-based role requires you to represent VMS in your designated territory, acting as the bridge between our technical capabilities and our customers' needs.
You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, upgrading, and performing preventative maintenance on Linear Accelerators and associated medical equipment. The role demands a high level of professional communication with your team, customers, management, and sales colleagues. You will work proactively to maintain systems throughout your service region, often performing specific periodic and preventative maintenance activities outside of normal business hours. Success in this position requires managing your own schedule effectively, escalating incidents when necessary, and maintaining rigorous administrative duties, including work orders and expense reports.

Location Requirement: This is a field-based position requiring onsite work at local customer locations. Candidates must live within close proximity to Blacksburg, VA, or be willing to relocate.
