A leading supplier of chromatography and spectrometry instrumentation is seeking a Field Service Metrology Technician to join their team in Sheridan, Wyoming. This role is designed for a dynamic professional who thrives in a field environment, serving as the critical link between advanced analytical technology and the customers who rely on it daily.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for executing service contracts, performing field service repairs, and providing comprehensive support for company equipment. Your day-to-day work involves troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing components on a wide array of instruments, including Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometers, High Performance Liquid Chromatographs (HPLC), Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatographs (UPLC), Gas Chromatographs, Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometers, Ion Spectrometers, and TOF Analyzers. The position requires the ability to perform repairs down to the board level and service analytical instrumentation from major manufacturers such as Agilent, Shimadzu, Dionex, Thermo-Fisher, and Waters.
Beyond technical maintenance, you will play a key educational role. You will train customers, junior technicians, and distributors on the operation and maintenance of these sophisticated instruments, while also educating clients on product superiority and capabilities. Ensuring the regulatory compliance of equipment performance and operation is a core component of your responsibilities.
