A core tenant at IMS Nanofabrication is a "People First" point of view. We agonize over getting the right people on board, in the right seats, and fostering an environment where each person can find autonomy, mastery, and purpose in their work.
This entry-level Field Service Engineer I role is an exceptional launchpad for recent college graduates with engineering or science degrees, as well as military veterans from the Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program, who thrive in high-accountability, high-consequence technical environments.
You will join a growing team of professional Field Service Engineers based in Hillsboro, OR. Your daily operations will emphasize customer satisfaction, technical troubleshooting, and collaborative teamwork. A successful engineer in this role displays strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, alongside a deep understanding of the impact of quickly diagnosing and addressing problems in the customer environment.
You will have a strong desire to master both the technical attributes of our Multi-Beam Mask Writers—some of the most advanced semiconductor lithography equipment in the world—and the people skills required to excel in front of our critical customers. This role requires an in-person presence in our Hillsboro office with daily travel to customer sites, strongly aligning with our US headquarters in Santa Clara, CA, and our global R&D and operations team in Austria. The position is non-exempt and reports directly to the team lead engineer in charge at IMS America.
