United Medical Systems/AKSM is a mobile healthcare services company dedicated to delivering advanced technologies and cost-efficient solutions in the clinical areas of Urology. We partner with healthcare facilities, physicians, and patients to enhance medical capabilities nationwide. Our dedicated and accomplished clinical and service teams are the driving force behind our mission to ensure the well-being of our customers.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the frontline guardian of mobile medical equipment, ensuring that critical urological devices remain operational for our partners. Reporting to the Service Center or traveling directly to customer sites, your primary focus will be the upkeep and repair of URS Holmium Laser units. As you grow within the role, you will receive developmental training on additional urological surgery devices, including those performing MR Fusion Prostate Biopsy and ESWL Lithotripsy (incorporating X-ray and Ultrasound).
This role requires a blend of technical precision and field adaptability. You will travel up to 20% overnight to support our network, maintaining a working knowledge of all equipment and adhering strictly to UMS, state, federal, and manufacturer protocols. Your day-to-day involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting complex electronic and mechanical failures, and managing service reports and spare parts logistics. You will also maintain a company-provided service vehicle and remain available 24/7 for communication during equipment failures.
Qualified candidates with a two-year degree in electronics or equivalent experience are encouraged to apply. Please ensure your application highlights your background in field service repair, electronics theory, and mechanical troubleshooting.
