About the Role

The Chemical/Fermentation Plant Operator is a vital member of our fermentation plant team, responsible for the continuing efficient operation of the facility and providing overtime support as needed for production. This role goes beyond routine monitoring; it requires creativity and decisive action to maintain equipment reliability, troubleshoot process upsets, and ensure seamless operations.

In this position, you will interface with production to solve fermentation and product isolation problems, executing and evaluating fermentation experiments. You will work closely with the Pilot Plant team, preparing equipment in accordance with SOPs, collecting samples for analysis, and maintaining detailed batch records. The role demands a hands-on approach to minor maintenance, such as rebuilding probes, changing gearboxes, and fabricating equipment modifications, while strictly adhering to safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
