FedEx Delivery Driver

About the Opportunity

We are an independent FedEx Ground contractor seeking experienced delivery drivers to join our team. This full-time role is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where reliability and care are paramount. You will be responsible for loading and unloading packages, ensuring every delivery reaches its destination on time and in perfect condition.

The Role

As a delivery driver, you will operate a box truck (at least 14ft), straight truck, or step van. The position requires a physical commitment, with shifts running five days a week from 7:00 AM until the route is completed. Success in this role depends on your ability to follow safety protocols, navigate routes efficiently, and maintain a professional demeanor while handling packages with care.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license.
• Have 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the past 3 years operating a vehicle of similar size (box truck, straight truck, or step van).
• Be eligible to work in the US and pass a medical exam and drug test.
• Maintain a clean driving record: no DWIs, license suspensions, or revocations. Driving history must show no reckless or aggressive driving (no more than 15mph over the limit or speeds exceeding 80mph), no more than 2 moving violations in the last 12 months, no cellphone tickets in the past 3 years, and no more than 2 accidents.
• Be physically capable of lifting at least 70 lbs.
• Possess strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions regarding work duties and safety methods.
• Demonstrate the ability to scan packages, read labels, and memorize routes.
• Be proficient with basic tools and equipment, including hand trucks, dollies, and hand-held scanners.
