This is a senior field-engineering position designed for a Federal Principal Product Support Engineer. Unlike traditional support or escalation-management roles, this position demands deep technical hands-on work across the full infrastructure stack. You will serve as the primary engineering escalation point for on-site support teams, taking ownership of vague symptoms and transforming them into structured defect reports with clear reproduction steps. Your mission is to drive permanent fixes, contribute to product improvements, and ensure the operational security of customers' Private Cloud Enterprise environments.
You will work directly with production environments, accessing nodes to review system logs and diagnose live issues. As a trusted technical advisor to federal stakeholders, you will bridge the gap between field observations and product engineering, translating field-observed symptoms into actionable technical requirements. Success in this role means acting as a force multiplier for the managed services team, enabling them to detect and respond to incidents with greater independence over time.
This is a Direct-Hire opportunity with SOC's client, requiring a hybrid onsite presence in Oklahoma City, OK, Dallas or Houston, TX, or Montgomery, AL. Active Secret Clearance is required for this position, and U.S. Citizenship is mandatory without exception.
Candidates must possess an active Secret clearance or demonstrate the ability to obtain one as a U.S. citizen with a clean background. The role involves direct engagement with federal customer environments, requiring adherence to strict security protocols including DISA STIG compliance.
SOC, a Day & Zimmermann company, is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability). All qualified applicants are welcome to apply regardless of background.
