Family Physician

We are assisting a 40-year-old community health system in recruiting a Family Physician for the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The organization is dedicated to providing quality patient care within a team-oriented, friendly environment.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a physician passionate about the mission and vision of community healthcare in a non-urban setting. The health system is Joint Commission Accredited and Primary Care Medical Home Certified, comprising six family practice/pediatric health centers, five dental centers, school-based wellness programs, and migrant health services, supported by a team of 200 members.

The clinics are located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, within 30 minutes of Easton. The position operates on a 5-day, 40-hour weekly schedule, consisting of 36 hours of direct patient care and 4 hours dedicated to administrative duties.

The community is the seat of Caroline County, steeped in history. The town began as a small settlement on the Choptank River around 1781 and quickly evolved into a trade center for the surrounding agricultural area. During the era when commerce between the Eastern Shore and Baltimore relied heavily on water transport, Denton Wharf on the Choptank River served as a busy loading point.
