The Facility Services Assistant II serves as a vital Team Lead within the Facility Services Department, ensuring safe, efficient, and functional operations across all Wilmington Health sites. This role is designed to bridge the gap between technical facility maintenance and the daily needs of our healthcare environment. You will be responsible for assigning work orders, diagnosing facility issues, and overseeing small projects while performing hands-on maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
In this position, you will interact professionally with the healthcare team, patients, and vendors, maintaining effective communication to support the safety and welfare of everyone on campus. The role requires adaptability, as you may assist with courier duties, housekeeping, or other tasks as needed to keep our facilities running smoothly. You will also be expected to respond to "On Call" notifications and emergencies, ensuring that critical systems are managed promptly.
