About the Role

As the Facilities Management Director, you will serve as the strategic architect for our global facility management portfolio. This role is the cornerstone of our commitment to delivering excellence in vendor-managed engineering, workplace services, and environmental health & safety. You will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of facility operations, ensuring that every site operates at peak efficiency while adhering to strict business plans, budgetary controls, and capital planning objectives.

In this position, you will provide high-level oversight to Regional Facilities Managers across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. Your mission is to harmonize service delivery across all work streams—including commercial management, project services, and brokerage—ensuring a seamless experience for our clients. You will drive a culture of continuous improvement, transforming how we manage assets to maximize value and minimize risk while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Day in the Life

Your day will be a dynamic blend of strategic planning and operational leadership. You will partner with client leaders to develop account plans that enhance the value of their portfolios, ensuring properties are managed profitably and in compliance with all life safety regulations. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to mentoring and coaching Regional Facilities Managers, fostering their career growth, and ensuring they possess the skills to deliver best-in-class service.

You will lead the financial stewardship of the portfolio, overseeing budget preparation, capital planning, and cash flow management. By standardizing reporting systems, you will ensure that client reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned with established standards. You will also act as a key negotiator for service contracts, balancing performance and cost while upholding Cushman & Wakefield's values of integrity and business conduct.

Hiring Process

Candidates selected for this role will undergo a comprehensive evaluation designed to assess both strategic vision and operational expertise. The process typically includes:

  1. Initial Screening: A review of your background against the core requirements of global facility management.
  2. Executive Interview: A deep-dive discussion with senior leadership focusing on your strategic approach to portfolio management and team development.
  3. Stakeholder Alignment: Meetings with regional leaders to assess cultural fit and operational compatibility.
  4. Final Review: A final decision based on holistic performance across all stages.
