Established in 1911, St. Christopher's School is the largest all-boys school in Virginia and one of the oldest and largest in the Mid-Atlantic region. Located on a 43-acre campus in Richmond, Virginia, we are an Episcopal day school serving approximately 1,000 boys from Grades JK-12. Our mission is to know, love, and celebrate boys, promoting their pursuit of excellence and preparing them for lives of honor, integrity, service, and leadership.
We are committed to cultivating a diverse, inclusive, and welcoming community. Our holistic curriculum integrates academics, the arts, athletics, and service learning, all grounded in our Community Pillars: honor & integrity, the pursuit of excellence, and community & brotherhood. Through our Center for the Study of Boys and our work with the International Boys' Schools Coalition, we continue to lead in the education of young men.
We are seeking a creative and flexible teacher to join our Extended Day Program. This unique after-school opportunity allows students to explore enriching academic, artistic, and athletic experiences in a safe and familiar setting. The program serves St. Christopher's and St. Catherine's students from the lower and middle schools, offering a year-round environment that complements the regular school day.
In this role, you will be the face of the Extended Day experience, fostering student growth in academic, social, and emotional areas. Your day will involve facilitating diverse enrichment activities, from arts and crafts to STEM projects and games. You will monitor study halls, provide academic support, and help students develop essential time management skills. Beyond the classroom, you will ensure student safety during recess and carpool, actively monitoring behavior and maintaining a positive, energetic atmosphere. This position is ideal for someone who brings a passion for working with young people, a creative mindset, and a dedication to the unique needs of boys.
