Atrium Health’s Cardiac Rehabilitation program provides comprehensive, medically supervised care for patients recovering from heart-related events. Our program integrates structured exercise training, telemetry‑monitored sessions, nutrition and lifestyle counseling, stress‑management support, and education on cardiac risk reduction to promote long‑term heart health.
Advocate Health, the parent organization, is the third-largest nonprofit, integrated health system in the United States. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, we are a national leader in clinical innovation and value-based care, serving nearly 6 million patients across 69 hospitals and over 1,000 care locations. We are nationally recognized for our expertise in cardiology, neurosciences, oncology, pediatrics, and rehabilitation.
This position serves as a vital link in our Cardiology service line, performing and coordinating diagnostic procedures with a specific focus on cardiac stress testing. As a float position, you will work across Carolinas Rehab locations in the Charlotte metro and surrounding region, adapting to the unique needs of different clinical environments.
In this role, you will coordinate and perform exercise and/or pharmacological stress testing following the rigorous standards of the ACSM, AHA, and ACC. Your day will involve assessing patients for contraindications, verifying orders, and ensuring patient safety during transfers and positioning. You will be responsible for recognizing electrocardiographic changes and arrhythmias in real-time, communicating abnormal results to physicians and clinical staff, and responding professionally to emergency situations. This role requires demonstrating appropriate exercise activities to patients and caregivers while working in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted by a Recruiter to discuss eligibility for specific programs and benefits based on their status (e.g., full-time, part-time). Please note that this is a part-time position with 16 hours per week, scheduled for Tuesdays (7:50 AM – 5:00 PM) and Thursdays (8:50 AM – 5:00 PM).
Advocate Health is committed to providing equitable care for all and offers a comprehensive suite of Total Rewards, including competitive compensation, generous retirement offerings, and programs that invest in career development. We provide more than $6 billion in annual community benefits and are dedicated to helping our teammates live fully at and away from work.
