The Events & Restaurant Manager serves as the operational heartbeat of the store, driving sales growth through the strategic creation and management of parties and special events. This role is unique in its dual focus: orchestrating the guest experience for private functions while simultaneously overseeing the daily rhythm of the restaurant floor. You will be the bridge between community outreach and front-of-house execution, ensuring that every shift runs smoothly and every guest leaves satisfied.
Your day begins with setting the stage. You will lead mandatory pre-shift meetings for wait staff and bartenders, ensuring the team is aligned on the day's events and service standards. Throughout lunch and dinner rushes, you will be on the floor, managing the host stand, touching tables to gauge guest sentiment, and assisting staff to maintain seamless service flow.
A significant portion of your time is dedicated to the events calendar. You will field inquiries, draft and review contracts with the General Manager, and book private parties up to two months in advance. Beyond the booking, you will manage the atmosphere by controlling volume, lighting, and temperature, and curating theme-appropriate music. You will also handle the digital front, updating the intranet, events calendar, and website, while actively managing social media presence across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Yelp.
Your commitment to excellence extends to the community. You will network at local outreach programs to grow sales and ensure guest retention by personally addressing feedback on review sites and maintaining a robust comment card system. Finally, you will ensure the team is equipped with daily bar cards and that all operational supplies are stocked and organized.
We are looking for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment. While no prior experience is required, success in this role demands a strong foundation in continuous learning, problem-solving, and ethical conduct. You must be dependable, punctual, and capable of working with integrity to uphold our service standards.
To ensure the safety and compliance of our guests and staff, this position requires a valid RAMP/TIPS Certification (Responsible Alcohol Management Program). The role involves regular standing and walking, with the physical ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds as needed.
We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.
