Mortenson is seeking an experienced Estimator III to provide leadership, coordination, and final preparation of full estimates on large and complex work projects. In this role, you will interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
You will organize and plan estimate preparation, facilitating necessary meetings such as kick-offs, status updates, plan flips, and final reviews. Your work involves assigning and adjusting tasks to ensure complete and reliable estimates, incorporating all relevant information including contract documents, design team communications, tax laws, and permits. You will determine trade partner strategies, prepare invitations to bid, and obtain and review all relevant documents, including BIM. Additionally, you will promote collaboration for comprehensive scope and budget alignment, ensure the completion of changes from estimate reviews, and complete quantity surveys of materials and resources. Using your knowledge of project types and best practices, you will fill gaps in early design documents.
