As an Itinerant Elementary ELD (English Language Development) Teacher in a Dual Language School, you will focus on the English language development of identified English learners and Dual Language learners (DLLs) in grades K-5. This full-time position requires you to develop lessons using WIDA standards across the four +1 domains of language: speaking, reading, writing, listening, and cross-linguistic connections.
You will collaborate closely with SEI and Dual Language teachers to support social and academic language development. A key aspect of this role is the flexibility to teach ELD in both SEI and Dual Language classroom settings, adapting to different curriculum maps for each program. You will utilize scaffolds and data to reflect on and refine lessons, ensuring adequate support for students at various proficiency levels. Additionally, you must be willing to participate in dual language professional development during contractual days.

The district does not unlawfully discriminate or tolerate discrimination in its educational and employment policies, programs, and activities.
