This position serves as a dedicated educator within the district, responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive lesson plans that align with the district's curriculum program and Texas Education Agency guidelines. The role requires a teacher who can effectively manage classroom dynamics, establish clear standards for student behavior, and utilize a variety of media and instructional methods to motivate learners.
You will be expected to plan lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles and assume responsibility for written lesson plans to ensure continuity for substitutes. A key part of this role involves identifying pupil needs and cooperating with professional staff to help students resolve health, attitude, and learning challenges. Additionally, you will share the responsibility of interpreting educational programs to the community through activities such as open houses and PTA meetings.
This is a campus-based position requiring regular and punctual attendance at the worksite; remote work is not an option. The work environment typically features a moderate noise level, and travel throughout the district is an integral part of the job duties. The role involves planning and coordinating the work of aides, paraprofessionals, and student teachers when applicable.
