This position serves as a dedicated educator within the Dallas Independent School District, committed to fostering student growth and academic excellence. As a campus-based educator, you will be the primary facilitator of learning, responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans that reflect the district's curriculum program. Your day-to-day work involves presenting subject matter in accordance with guidelines established by the Texas Education Agency, the Board of Trustees, and administrative regulations. You will establish efficient classroom management procedures and maintain high standards of pupil behavior to ensure a productive learning atmosphere.
The role requires a dynamic approach to education, including the ability to prepare lessons that accommodate differences in student learning styles and utilize a variety of media and methods to maximize instructional time. You will play a key part in the holistic development of students by identifying their needs, cooperating with professional staff to resolve health and learning challenges, and providing counseling support to students and parents before and after school hours.
Beyond the classroom, this position involves active community engagement. You will share the responsibility of interpreting the educational program to the community through activities such as open houses and PTA meetings. Additionally, you may be tasked with planning and coordinating the work of aides, paraprofessionals, and student teachers, while maintaining accurate records of student information and participating in the district's evaluation system.
This is a campus-based position requiring regular and punctual attendance at the worksite; remote work or alternate work arrangements are not available. The work environment typically features a moderate noise level, and travel throughout the district is an integral part of the job duties. Success in this role depends on the ability to perform all duties on-site and maintain consistent presence at the school.
