This position serves as a consultant dedicated to the end-to-end delivery of reporting and analytics solutions within the Epic Cogito Clarity Custody Health space. The role focuses on critical areas including Ambulatory and Inpatient operations, Regulatory and State-mandated filings, Quality metrics, and related data points. Success in this position requires the ability to coalesce complex, related requests into cohesive solutions that satisfy multiple stakeholder requirements while adhering to strict Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) discipline.
The consultant will act as a bridge between technical execution and operational needs, leading projects and facilitating meetings with Custody operations and leadership to gather requirements for new requests and enhancements. A key aspect of the role involves communicating updates and setting expectations for stakeholders both inside and outside the analytics team, as well as directing regulatory agency monitors on the use of reporting outputs.

The team operates in a high-stakes environment where data accuracy directly impacts clinical workflows and regulatory compliance. The culture emphasizes collaboration, requiring close partnership with Epic application builders, TSS managers, operational clinical leaders, and project offices to capture official workflow documentation efficiently and accurately.
Candidates will be evaluated on their ability to demonstrate consultant-level communication skills and their experience with the Epic Clarity Data Model. The selection process includes a review of technical proficiency in SQL, stored procedures, and Epic tools (Slicer Dicer, Cogito SQL, Radar), as well as an assessment of experience in Custody/Jail settings. Successful candidates will be expected to show a track record of mentoring junior developers and performing code reviews.
