As an Environmental Services (EVS) Technician, you will report to the Environmental Services Manager and play a vital role in maintaining a safe, sanitary healing environment. Your daily focus will be on the thorough cleaning and disinfection of both patient and non-patient areas.
This position requires frequent interaction with staff, visitors, and patients. You are expected to demonstrate courteous, service-oriented communication while upholding patient privacy and confidentiality. From managing supply carts to responding promptly to spills and room turnarounds, your work directly supports the hospital's commitment to infection prevention and high-quality care.
This role involves spending the majority of time standing and walking, with tasks that include pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs. While occasional sitting may be required for documentation or training, the environment is active. Team members must be prepared to work with industrial-strength cleaning chemicals, body fluids, and potential communicable diseases, strictly adhering to all required safety and infection prevention practices.
