The Project Manager (or Senior Project Manager) serves as a pivotal leader in driving CTIS's environmental remediation initiatives. This multi-faceted position offers a unique opportunity to manage the full lifecycle of public and private projects, from initial bidding and proposal development through to successful execution and close-out. The role is designed for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and possesses the ability to balance rigorous project scope management with strong client relationship building.
You will act as the central hub connecting operations, sales, finance, and estimating teams to ensure seamless project delivery. Success in this role requires a blend of strategic oversight and hands-on execution, including managing subcontractors, coordinating logistics, and developing complex contract structures for lump-sum, time-and-materials, and unit-rate projects. The position demands a candidate who can not only manage resources effectively but also champion customer success and drive business growth.
This role is a hybrid of in-office and on-site work, requiring extensive travel to various project locations. The environment is dynamic and physically demanding, often involving work in diverse weather conditions ranging from extreme heat to cold. Team members must be prepared to wear and properly utilize various levels of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators and skin protection, while navigating atmospheres that may contain hazardous, toxic, or corrosive agents.
Flexibility is essential; the role may require extended hours to meet critical project deadlines and the ability to respond to emergencies on-site. A valid state-issued driver's license is a mandatory condition of employment, and candidates must be willing to relocate to the Scranton, PA area prior to starting.
To ensure the safety and security of our operations, particularly on governmental installations, all candidates must successfully pass a criminal background check, a pre-employment drug test, and a comprehensive Hazwoper physical (including vision, blood pressure, spirometry, chest x-ray, and lead blood levels). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, along with a strong command of English, is required. While a BS/MA, PE, or PG background is considered a plus, the core focus is on demonstrated experience in managing and estimating construction projects within the environmental sector.
CTIS is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
