EnviroScience, Inc. is a dedicated environmental services firm focused on ensuring regulatory compliance and protecting natural resources through expert field inspection and technical guidance. Our team operates at the intersection of construction, environmental science, and client success, delivering solutions that balance development needs with ecological stewardship.
The Environmental Inspector 2 (EI2) is a pivotal role designed to elevate field operations through increased oversight, project management, and client engagement. Building on the foundational skills of an Environmental Inspector 1, the EI2 serves as a Field Manager for complex projects, guiding teams through wetland and stream crossings while ensuring strict adherence to permit requirements and Best Management Practices (BMPs).
In this position, you will transition from executing inspections to managing the quality of deliverables. You will lead pre-construction meetings, review technical documentation for accuracy, and provide real-time coaching to junior staff. The role is dynamic, requiring you to act as a primary point of contact for clients and a mentor for EI1 personnel. A key component of this position is the pursuit of advanced professional growth, specifically obtaining the Certified Erosion, Sediment, and Storm Water Inspector (CESSWI) credential.
We foster a culture of collaboration while valuing the independence required for field work. As an EI2, you will spend significant time outdoors in varying weather conditions, navigating urban neighborhoods, residential areas, and remote construction sites. While the role involves extensive day travel and occasional out-of-town projects, the schedule is designed so you return home each evening.
This is a remote hybrid role. You will work primarily from the field or home, with the flexibility to come into our Stow, Ohio office as needed for vehicle retrieval, training, or report collaboration. We provide standard office equipment for in-office work and expect a high degree of self-motivation and communication.
If you are ready to take the next step in your environmental career, we invite you to share your work experience and strengths. We look for candidates who thrive in independent field settings and possess a strong aptitude for regulatory compliance and team mentorship.
