Year Up United is an intensive, one-year or less job training program designed to empower young adults with the skills and support needed to launch successful careers. The program combines in-classroom skill development with access to internships and job placement services, all backed by personalized coaching and mentorship.
Participants receive technical and professional training through our industry-leading talent placement firm, YUPRO Placement. Successful candidates are placed in internships at leading organizations in the Seattle/Bellevue, Washington area, including Microsoft, Accenture, Salesforce, and Seattle Children's Hospital.
This program is built to help you launch your professional career. You will develop professional business and communication skills, interviewing and networking expertise, and resume-building strategies, all with ongoing support and guidance. During the internship phase, students earn an educational stipend of $525 per week.
Our curriculum covers in-depth classes in Application Development, Banking, Business Operations, IT Support, Project Management, Data Analytics, and Network Security & Support. The impact is measurable: 72% of Year Up United graduates are employed and/or enrolled in postsecondary education within four months of graduation, with employed graduates earning an average starting salary of $53,000 per year.
To apply to Year Up United, you must be a high school graduate or GED recipient, eligible to work in the U.S., and available Monday through Friday throughout the duration of the program. We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated to learn technical and professional skills and have not yet obtained a Bachelor's degree. Additional screening questions may be required during the application process.
