Five Rivers Analytics (FRA), an Akima company and an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC), is more than a federal IT contractor. Our mission extends beyond delivering streamlined operations for government customers in a complex digital environment; it is deeply rooted in supporting our shareholder communities in Alaska. As a FRA employee, you will contribute to the survival of a culture that has thrived above the Arctic Circle for over 10,00 years, directly impacting the lives of 15,000 Iñupiat shareholders.
We foster a challenging yet supportive work environment committed to innovation and diversity. You will join a team dedicated to making a tangible difference in the lives of our shareholders while delivering critical technical support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
This position serves as a vital link in maintaining the reliability and safety of the National Airspace System (NAS). You will perform a wide range of technical systems support services, including troubleshooting, repair, refurbishment, and installation of electronic systems, subsystems, and components for FAALC Product Divisions. Your work ensures that critical aviation equipment meets strict serviceability, reliability, and availability requirements.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a blend of hands-on technical work and field operations. You will troubleshoot and repair electronic assemblies, circuit cards, wiring harnesses, and test fixtures, returning unserviceable equipment to operational status. This includes performing calibration, testing, and certification in accordance with FAA standards. A significant portion of the role involves working at heights, where you will conduct structural inspections, maintenance, and installation of communication antennae, surveillance systems, and tower components on structures ranging from 50 to 750 feet. You may also be required to work from ropes or operate equipment such as boom man lifts and motorized forklifts.
In addition to field work, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on FAA and interagency systems, prepare assets for shipment, and document all activities in the Data Collection and Reporting System. This role requires independence, as you will often work alone to execute maintenance tasks and manage your own schedule while adhering to strict safety and operational policies.
Candidates must be eligible for a NACI Clearance and Public Trust. The selection process includes a physical fitness evaluation to ensure safety compliance, specifically regarding weight restrictions (minimum 125 lbs, maximum 290 lbs) due to fall protection gear limitations. Applicants must also possess a valid driver's license and two forms of unexpired identification (one primary government-issued ID and one secondary ID).
As an Alaska Native Corporation, FRA is committed to diversity and innovation. We provide comprehensive benefits, competitive pay, and growth opportunities to all employees. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, fostering an inclusive environment where your work makes a difference in both the federal sector and our shareholder communities.
