About the Role

ASRC Federal System Solutions is seeking Engineering / Installation Technicians to support the FAA's Radar System Replacement (RSR) program, the largest and most significant radar modernization effort within the National Airspace System (NAS). This role is central to the successful physical installation and startup of cooperative and integrated non-cooperative/cooperative radar systems.

You will execute field installation tasks across radar rooms, antenna structures, power and grounding systems, and remote facilities. Working closely with system engineers, construction managers, and customer representatives, you will ensure the deployment of new surveillance systems at FAA facilities nationwide. The position requires strong technical aptitude and the ability to work effectively in active operational environments under a compressed deployment schedule.

Hiring Process & Application

To apply, candidates must possess US Citizenship to successfully complete a government investigation for a Public Trust clearance. The role is remote with required travel to FAA sites nationwide. Key Responsibilities

  • check_circlePerform field installation and integration of cooperative and non-cooperative surveillance systems

  • check_circleSupport logistics activities including equipment receipt, staging, distribution, and handling

  • check_circleExecute installation acceptance testing and system start-up activities
  • check_circleIdentify, document, and resolve installation issues encountered during field activities
  • check_circlePrepare installation documentation including status reports, photos, and as-built records
  • check_circleEnsure all work complies with safety, security, quality, and FAA operational requirements

Requirements

Nice to Have

Prior experience supporting FAA programs, radar systems, air traffic management systems, or NAS infrastructure. Experience with PSR, MSSR, ADS-B, or similar radar and surveillance systems. Familiarity with SPDs, grounding systems, and coaxial cable installations. Experience supporting installation acceptance testing (IAT) and system startup activities. OSHA safety training, tower climbing certification, or equivalent field safety credentials. Experience working on multi-site deployment programs with parallel installation schedules. Ability to work effectively with multinational OEM teams and customer stakeholders.
