About the Role
Join our urgent care team in sunny San Diego to practice a wide spectrum of emergency-based medicine in a high-functioning, full-scope environment. This role focuses on high-acuity, procedural shift work with no overnight requirements. You will serve patients across our 365-day-a-year sites, which operate from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Each location is fully equipped with in-house lab, radiology, and pharmacy services, supported by a dedicated operations team including lead RNs, triage RNs, LVNs, and a 1:1 Provider/MA ratio.
The position offers flexible shift options, including 6, 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts, with an average patient volume of 2 to 2.5 patients per hour. You will utilize the EPIC system, which is used system-wide throughout Sharp Healthcare to ensure seamless communication among primary care physicians and specialists. This role is ideal for physicians seeking a dynamic urgent care environment that balances high clinical demands with a supportive, team-oriented culture.
