Elementary Teacher - Kindergarten

About the Role

This position serves as an Elementary Teacher dedicated to planning, organizing, and presenting instruction that fosters both educational and social development. The role is designed to help students learn subject matter and skills within a supportive environment, ensuring they meet the North Carolina Course of Study and Common Core Essential Standards.

Day in the Life

You will provide learning experiences and teach the prescribed curriculum, utilizing instructional materials suitable for students with a wide range of mental, physical, and emotional maturity. Your day involves delivering individual and group instruction to meet specific student needs, establishing standards for effective participation, and creating an engaging learning environment through functional displays like bulletin boards and interest centers.

A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to evaluating student growth, maintaining records, and communicating with parents through conferences and various other means. You will also collaborate with professional staff to assess and address student health, attitude, and learning challenges. Additionally, you will participate in faculty committees, sponsor student activities, and maintain professional competence through in-service education and university courses.
