As an Elementary School Teacher for 3rd Grade, you will serve as a vital facilitator of student success, working under the general supervision of the School Principal. Your mission is to cultivate growth in both academic and interpersonal skills by implementing district-approved curriculum within a flexible, safe, and optimal learning environment.
This role is designed to support the diverse needs of every learner. You will create a classroom atmosphere conducive to individualized and small-group instruction, ensuring that educational standards are met while addressing specific student requirements. The position emphasizes a strong partnership with families, requiring you to provide clear feedback to students and parents regarding progress, expectations, and goals.
Your day involves developing and administering curriculum that aligns with school district goals, translating lesson plans into engaging learning experiences that maximize instructional time. You will conduct ongoing assessments to modify teaching methods for individual needs, including students with special needs, and instruct students in responsible citizenship alongside core subjects.
Beyond the classroom, you will maintain accurate records of student activities, achievement, and attendance, while coordinating with grade-level staff to evaluate curriculum and participate in faculty meetings. You will also supervise students during out-of-classroom activities, such as school transportation, and administer standardized tests in accordance with district programs.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and possess Arkansas State Certification as a Teacher. Certification in the appropriate grade level is preferred, and successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level is a plus.
