KIPP MA is seeking talented, committed, and culturally competent Campus Substitute teachers to provide immediate coverage for educators during daily absences. In this capacity, you will not only maintain classroom continuity but may also assume the role of Lead Teacher during short-term absences. This position is designed to ensure our students receive the consistency and valuable education they deserve throughout the school year.
The Campus Substitute role is ideal for individuals considering a career in teaching who want to learn by doing. You will have the opportunity to explore a variety of grade levels and content areas, gaining broad experience in a supportive environment. At the end of the year, high-performing Campus Substitutes may be considered for a variety of full-time roles within KIPP MA for the following year.
You will execute daily lesson plans consistent with the lead teacher's guidelines to create a cohesive learning experience. Your day involves fostering a positive and calm learning environment where every child feels affirmed, valued, and challenged. Beyond the classroom, you will participate in school-wide culture systems, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with students, absent teachers, and school leaders. You will also engage in professional development, including pre-service training and weekly coaching sessions, while collaborating with grade-level teams to tackle common challenges.
