About the Role
We are seeking a degreed Electrical Engineer to join a fast-paced, quality-driven environment within a growing organization. In this role, you will partner with senior engineering staff to guide projects from initial conceptual electrical design through construction and commissioning for both large and small facilities. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse and experienced team to resolve complex challenges, such as conflicting design requirements, material limitations, and difficult coordination needs, all while benefiting from our solid quality control processes.
Your work will center on facilities engineering and design projects across the educational, public works, water/wastewater, transportation, transit, health care, and aviation industries. Key Responsibilities

- check_circleDesign projects using software and drawing tools per client specifications
- check_circleDevelop construction cost estimates for engineering projects
- check_circleCoordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion
- check_circlePrepare and compile contract plans, specifications, and estimates
- check_circleAttend meetings with clients to discuss project requirements
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- verified5-10 years' experience in electrical power distribution, power generation, motor controls, lighting, fire alarm, telecommunications, or security systems
- verifiedProficiency in NEC, IBC, and NFPA codes
- verifiedWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- verifiedWorking knowledge of Autodesk CADD and Revit
- verifiedProficiency in discipline-specific design software
- verifiedPass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening
Nice to Have
Professional Engineer License. Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Bentley's Microstation, Electrical Modeling Software (SKM Power Tools or ETAP), and Lighting Modeling Software (AGi32 or ElumTools). Familiarity with electrical testing apparatus. Experience working with federal, state, and local government agencies, codes, and local clients at the county and state level.
