About the Team

Space Kinetic is a cleared, venture-backed startup dedicated to addressing urgent national security priorities. We are building a new paradigm for space operations by delivering asymmetric capabilities for space superiority and missile defense. Our proprietary electromechanical deployment system enables the rapid deployment of low-cost payloads through space without firing a thruster. Currently assembling our TRL-5 prototype, our mission is to leverage this platform to provide the United States with a new tool for securing the space domain and catalyzing the emerging space economy.

This Electrical Engineering Internship offers hands-on learning experience while working on meaningful projects designed to provide significant career growth. We provide the tools, training, and mentorship necessary for interns to do their very best work and discover opportunities to advance their careers.

In this role, you will support the design, assembly, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems. You will assist in wiring the Space Kinetic prototype, connecting sensors, motor drivers, and computers between hardware and electrical systems. Working directly with engineers on-site, you will support prototype testing, collect data, and provide reports to the engineering team. Additionally, you will help install sensors, set up test stands, and monitor equipment during operations.

Hiring Process

Candidates must be U.S. citizens, nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees to comply with U.S. Government export regulations (ITAR). Applicants must also be able to maintain or obtain a Government Security Clearance. The position requires onsite work in El Segundo, CA.
