Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineering Manager 2 to support Hardware design within the Advanced Weapons Business Unit. This position is required to be full-time, on-site in the Northridge, CA location; no remote or telework arrangement is available.
In this role, you will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for the design, development, verification, and integration of complex electrical subsystems in missile systems. You will ensure that all electrical hardware, wiring, power distribution, and signal processing elements meet rigorous performance, reliability, and security standards while adhering to program schedules and budgets. You will also provide direct technical contributions to active programs and act as a subject matter resource for the department, supporting proposal development and cost estimating.

MS Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering or equivalent. Experience in Missile Development and/or Airborne Systems. Familiarity with Digital Systems or Power Systems. Experience in transition from Technology Development to EMD, EMD to Limited Rate Production and product life-cycle engineering. Experience in leadership of technical teams to include in-house development and subcontractor activities. Experience estimating tasking as well as authoring and approving Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for Proposals. Demonstrated history of technical progression leading to engineering leadership position. Knowledge of EDA tools package such as Mentor Graphics or equivalent.
