Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Electrical Design Engineer serves as a key technical expert driving new product development and continuous improvement. This role is designed to bridge the gap between complex engineering requirements and practical manufacturing realities. You will lead the electrical design lifecycle—from schematic capture and PCB layout to software development and reliability analysis—ensuring that every device integrates mechanical and electronic components seamlessly.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with Product Management, Marketing, and customers to translate requirements into cost-effective, innovative solutions. Your day-to-day involves creating solid models in SolidWorks, performing Finite Element Analysis on high-stress components, and developing robust test strategies. You will work with internal and external vendors to prototype new devices, conduct Design-for-Manufacturing reviews, and ensure all products meet rigorous regulatory standards. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to lead and train members of the Design Team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and problem-solving.
Candidates selected for this role will engage in a structured interview process designed to assess technical depth and cultural fit. While specific steps vary, the process typically includes an initial screening, technical deep-dives, and discussions with the engineering leadership team to ensure alignment with project goals.
