About Raytheon and RTX

At Raytheon, the foundation of everything we do is rooted in our values and a higher calling—to help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today's mission and stay ahead of tomorrow's threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.

As part of RTX, we value Safety, Trust, Respect, Accountability, Collaboration, and Innovation. These values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.

About the Team

The Effector Sub-System Products (ESP) department is responsible for all aspects of subsystem design, test, and production. Within this department, the Power Electronics & Controls (PE&C) team engineers complex power systems, analog design, linear control systems, and motor control systems. The section is responsible for power design including power conversion, DC/DC and AC/DC converters, gimbal and solenoid controls, HV converters, small signal analog circuits, initiator circuits, sensing and monitoring circuits, flight termination, and support for telemetry systems.

About the Role

Join our Power Electronics & Controls team with the skills and passion to engineer complex power systems. A successful candidate is one who can participate in a multi-disciplined team, properly apply engineering tools and processes, and effectively communicate with others. You will be expected to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity, working under general supervision.

This position immerses you in a fast-paced, team-based, and challenging technical environment where an individual with talent and initiative can stand out and thrive. The role requires frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, concepts, and techniques. While this is an onsite role in Huntsville, AL, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at our office locations to maintain a secure hiring process.

Hiring Process and Application Instructions

To apply, please upload a copy of your most recent transcripts with your resume, including your cumulative GPA and projected graduation date. This position requires a U.S. government-issued security clearance (Secret), and U.S. citizenship is mandatory. The DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.

RTX anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted, though business necessity may require us to shorten or extend this window.

Equal Opportunity and Culture

RTX is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status, or any other applicable state or federal protected class. RTX provides affirmative action in employment for qualified Individuals with a Disability and Protected Veterans in compliance with Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act.
