About the Role
We are seeking an Electronics Technician I to join the MHS LAN team in North Charleston, SC. In this on-site role, you will be responsible for executing installation and maintenance activities within planned durations, ensuring high-quality device and component setups. Your day-to-day will involve installing system raceways, cabling (including CAT6/CAT6A copper and single-mode fiber optics), and equipment racks, enclosures, and panels. You will utilize Fluke Networks test equipment to terminate and test all components, verifying high-quality installations and identifying system problems at both component and system levels.
Success in this position requires the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. You will handle multiple tasks simultaneously, rapidly adapt to changing priorities, and maintain strict adherence to safety practices and OSHA standards. This role involves significant physical activity, including lifting heavy equipment, working at heights up to 60 feet, and navigating scaffolds or aerial lifts. Additionally, the position requires extensive travel (up to 80% of the time) both within the US and internationally, necessitating a valid passport and a clean driving record for the use of a company vehicle.
