As a Workplace Health & Safety Real Estate Due Diligence & Remediation Manager, you will serve as the single point of contact for transaction teams, guiding them through Amazon's complex due diligence program. This role exists to ensure that risks and liabilities associated with real estate transactions are appropriately evaluated and mitigated before assets are acquired or renovated.
In this position, you will partner with Real Estate, Legal, Construction, and Launch teams to scope and manage remediation projects. Your work involves developing corporate standards and policies while executing the requirements of the program at a global scale. You will act as a technical expert, reviewing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, historical reports, and health-risk assessments to identify potential exposure risks from building materials or property conditions, such as asbestos, lead-based paint, and vapor intrusion.
A day in your life includes drafting mitigation plans for contaminated soil and groundwater, overseeing the design and installation of sub-slab depressurization systems, and representing Amazon in professional relationships with property owners, consultants, and legal advisors. You will provide critical feedback on work performed by contractors and developers, ensuring that business operations can safely utilize sites with pre-existing contamination.
If you are not sure that every qualification on the list describes you exactly, we'd still love to hear from you! At Amazon, we value people with unique backgrounds, experiences, and skillsets. If you're passionate about this role and want to make an impact on a global scale, please apply.
