This position serves as a dedicated educator within Dallas ISD, committed to fostering an inclusive and dynamic learning environment. The role is designed to support the district's mission by delivering high-quality instruction that meets the diverse needs of all students. As a key member of the campus team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans that align with the district's curriculum program and Texas Education Agency guidelines.
Your day will involve presenting subject matter according to established policies while utilizing a variety of media and methods to motivate students and maximize instructional time. You will establish efficient classroom management procedures and maintain standards of pupil behavior to ensure a productive learning atmosphere. A significant part of your role involves identifying pupil needs and cooperating with professional staff to help students resolve health, attitude, and learning challenges.
You will also be expected to plan and coordinate the work of aides, paraprofessionals, and student teachers when applicable. The role requires active engagement with the community through activities such as open houses and PTA meetings to interpret educational programs. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of student information and be available for counseling with students and parents before and after school.
The work environment typically features a moderate noise level. Travel throughout the district is an integral part of this position. Please note that this is a campus-based role; a remote working environment or alternate work arrangement is not an option, as regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is an essential job duty.
