About the Role
The Educational Evaluator serves as a vital member of an interdisciplinary team within the rehabilitation continuum at Kennedy Krieger Institute. This role is designed to bridge the gap between clinical care and academic success, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive support throughout their treatment journey.
You will be responsible for conducting in-depth educational evaluations, designing rehabilitation treatment programs, and consulting with families and team members to secure the best educational outcomes. Whether supporting inpatient stays, the Specialized Transitions Program, or medical clinics, you will act as a key liaison between the institute and local educational agencies. Your work ensures that students' unique learning strengths and needs are accurately communicated to facilitate smooth transitions and the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or 504 Plans.
About the Team
You will collaborate closely with a diverse group of professionals, participating in interdisciplinary team meetings, steerings, and rounds. The team is dedicated to providing high-quality care for developmentally disabled children, combining clinical expertise with educational advocacy to create holistic treatment plans.

Requirements
- verifiedMaryland Teaching Certification in Special Education
