About the Role
The Domain Managing Architect provides strategic architectural leadership across our Digital domains. This role is essential for ensuring that our technology solutions align with the long-term best interests of Horace Mann. You will leverage enterprise architecture disciplines, frameworks, and tools to guide our digital evolution.
In this position, you will lead modernization efforts, including legacy rationalization, decommissioning, and the adoption of cloud-native and AI-ready platforms. You will establish AI governance frameworks to manage model risk, explainability, fairness, and compliance, ensuring we meet responsible AI expectations. Your work will involve defining and governing enterprise architecture standards, patterns, and technology roadmaps that align with our business strategy.
You will act as a bridge between complex technical concepts and executive leadership, communicating clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. By facilitating consensus across diverse technical and business teams, you will help translate strategic objectives into scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise solutions. This role requires a partner who can drive architectural decisions across programs and projects while maintaining alignment with enterprise standards for security, data, and privacy.
