Key Responsibilities
- check_circleSupervise terminal operations including sorting, handling, loading, and unloading freight
- check_circleOversee safe and efficient dock operations for all terminal staff
- check_circleDirect and evaluate dockworkers to ensure proper equipment use and procedure adherence
- check_circleConduct daily inspections to maintain compliance with company policies and DOT standards
- check_circleTrain and coach dockworkers on safety practices, operational performance, and equipment usage
- check_circleReview operational reports and provide recommendations to improve terminal efficiency
- check_circlePromote and enforce a safe, clean, and organized dock environment
Requirements
- verified18 years of age
- verifiedHigh school diploma or GED
- verifiedAuthorized to work in the United States
- verifiedEnglish language proficiency
- verified5+ years of warehouse, freight, dock, forklift, or pallet jack experience
- verifiedPrior supervisory experience
- verifiedStrong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- verifiedForklift certification or hazmat training
